Camping
Chamber Park and Arena has camping sites available with some having electricity and water while others have just water available. Size for primitive (just water availability) is 35’ by 35’ and the premium (electricity and water) 40’ by 40’. Primitive camping is $85.00 and premium camping is $210 for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights during Benson Mule Days. Portable toilets are provided. Lots are on a first come basis. These lots are located where the rodeos and mule events are held in addition to vendors and there is 24 hour security. No campfires are permitted. We ask that campers respect each other, especially RV’s with generators. If it is not necessary to run a generator, don’t. No sharing of spaces. One camper per lot. Check-in for campsites is noon Wednesday.
Should heavy rainfall cause flooding in certain areas of the chamber park, Chamber staff will direct campers to avoid parking in those spots. If a camper disregards this guidance and their vehicle becomes stuck, the responsibility for covering any towing charges will fall entirely on the camper.
To reserve your site call 919-894-3825. All premium campsites (water and electrical hook-up) have been reserved. Call Tucker Lake 919-820-9173.
For in-town camping, call 919-820-2713.
All pets must be kept on a leash and in your campsite only – no pets are allowed inside the rodeo arena. Dogs are not allowed to roam or run free. They must be kept in cages and not pose a threat to other campers near you. Your animal must be controlled at all times. Visitors during this event must keep their pet on a leash as well. Benson has a pet clean-up ordinance. For more information call 919-894-2091.
