Parade

*The deadline for parade entries is September 13.*

Event Location: Main Street in Benson. Report to Parks and Rec on Johnson Street for instructions on day of parade. 

Lots of interesting entries, bands, Shriners and more participate in an event the whole family can enjoy. Drinking of alcoholic beverages is prohibited and entrant is subject to being asked to leave. No candy is to be thrown to insure safety along the route. 

This a family event and the Benson Area Chamber of Commerce reserves the right not to accept any entries that are offensive, repulsive or to cause fear or anxiety and incite violence to the parade entrants, community and visitors.

Apply for the Parade

Entrants must be suitably clothed. Entries displaying offensive garb or decoration, shirtless, barefoot or doesn’t meet standards that are suitable for a family event will not be allowed into the parade regardless of paid entry fee.

We must have an email address to send line-up numbers. All Parade Participants must sign a disclaimer form (page 2). We strong recommend that vehicles have their brakes checked at least one week prior to the parade.

Benson Mule Days Parade Guidelines
  1. All participants should be in the parade line-up no later than 9:00AM on the day of the parade. Letters with your line-up number will be E-MAILED the week before.
  2. Absolutely no candy, flyers, or other items may be thrown from the parade vehicles and/or units. 
  3. The Benson Mule Days Parade is a family event, and all parade entries should reflect a "family friendly" atmosphere. The Benson Area Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to refuse any entry into the parade to any individual and/or group who does not abide by this principle or the chamber feels would not represent this event in a positive and appropriate manner.
  4. The parade will be held rain or shine. All registration fees are non-refundable. 
  5. Registration forms with accompanying payment are due no later than September 13, 2024. ONLINE PARADE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER THAT DATE. AFTER SEPTEMBER 13, CALL THE CHAMBER OFFICE FOR MORE AVAILABILITY.
